Description
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analog of human insulin-like growth factor 1, with arginine in place of glutamic acid at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension. Both changes reduce binding to IGF binding proteins, so more of the analog stays free in culture systems. It is used to study IGF-1 receptor signaling and cell proliferation in vitro.
