Effective 22 October 2026 · Last updated 22 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information RC Supply LLC collects when you use rcsupply.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.
If you do not want us to handle your information as described here, please do not use the site or place an order. If you have already ordered and change your mind, section 10 explains how to ask us to delete what we hold.
1. Who we are
RC Supply LLC is a Texas limited liability company, File No. 805518847, with its place of business at 3723 Greenville Ave; Suite 44143, Dallas, Texas 75206. We supply research compounds and related laboratory supplies for laboratory research use only.
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at Privacy@RCSupply.com or (302) 747-0598.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, and the username and password you choose.
- Order details — shipping address, billing address, telephone number, and what you ordered.
- Communications — anything you write to us by email, through a contact form, or by telephone, and our replies.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have asked to receive email from us, and whether you have unsubscribed.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection information — IP address, browser type, operating system, and the pages you view on our site.
- Usage information — when you last signed in, what you searched for, and what you placed in a cart.
- Cookies and similar technologies — described in section 6.
Information we receive from others
- Payment confirmation from our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number — see section 5.
- Delivery status from the carrier that ships your order.
- Fraud and risk signals from the services that screen orders before we fulfil them.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your date of birth, your health information, or any information about why you are purchasing. We do not ask what you intend to do with a product, and we do not want you to tell us.
3. How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- take, process, fulfil and ship your order, and contact you about it;
- maintain your account and let you see your order history;
- take payment and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised transactions;
- answer your questions and provide support;
- send you marketing email, if you have asked for it, and only until you ask us to stop;
- keep the records we are required by law to keep, including tax and sales records;
- understand how the site is used so we can improve it; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use your information to build a profile of you beyond what is needed to run your account and fulfil your orders. We do not infer anything about your employer, your profession, your institution or your purposes from your email address, your shipping address or what you buy, and we do not append data about you from outside sources.
4. When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold it in the preceding twelve months. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not rent, trade or otherwise make your information available to anyone for their own marketing.
We share what is necessary with the following, and only for the purpose described:
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our payment processor | Payment details you enter, order amount, billing address | To take payment and screen for fraud. They handle card data directly; we never see the full number. |
| Shipping carriersFedEx, USPS | Name, shipping address, telephone number | To deliver your order and provide tracking. |
| Our e-commerce platformWordPress | Account and order data | To run the website and store orders. |
| Our email providerGoogle | Email address, name, order data | To send order confirmations and, if you asked for it, marketing email. |
| Our analytics providerGoogle & Meta | Usage and device data, usually pseudonymous | To understand how the site is used. |
| Professional advisers | Only what is necessary | Accountants and lawyers, bound by confidentiality. |
| Authorities | Only what is legally required | Where we are required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. |
| A buyer of the business | Customer records | If the business is sold or merged. We would tell you before your information moved to a new controller. |
5. Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment processor, not by us. When you pay, your card details go directly to them. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, the amount, and the last four digits of the card. We never receive, see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code.
Our payment processor handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
6. Cookies and tracking
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — to keep you signed in and keep your cart working. The site does not function without these.
- Analytics cookies — to count visits and see which pages are used.
- Preference cookies — to remember choices you have made, such as your region.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites from ours.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, you will not be able to sign in or place an order.
Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control signal. Where the law requires us to treat that signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing, we do — though as set out above, we do not sell or share your information in the first place.
7. Marketing email
We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly. You will continue to receive transactional messages about orders you have placed — confirmations, shipping notices and support replies — because those are part of the service you asked for.
8. How long we keep things
| What | How long | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | At least 7 years | Tax and accounting requirements |
| Account details | Until you close your account, then up to 90 days | So you can access your history; the short tail allows for backups to cycle |
| Support correspondence | 3 years | To handle disputes and repeat issues |
| Marketing preferences | Indefinitely once you unsubscribe | So we do not email you again by mistake |
| Analytics data | 26 months | To compare year on year |
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or anonymize it so it can no longer be linked to you.
9. How we protect your information
We use encryption in transit across the site, restrict access to customer records to the people who need it to do their work, and require unique accounts rather than shared logins. Our payment processor is responsible for the security of card data, which never reaches our systems.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information and the law requires us to tell you, we will — within the time the law allows, describing what happened and what you can do.
10. Your rights
Everyone
Whatever state or country you are in, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete what we hold, except records we are legally required to keep;
- stop sending you marketing email; and
- close your account.
Email Privacy@RCSupply.com. We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need longer. We may need to verify who you are before we act — usually by confirming you control the email address on the account. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the rights above plus the right to know the categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties we disclose to — all of which are set out in sections 2 to 4. You may also limit the use of sensitive personal information; we do not collect any, so there is nothing to limit. You can appoint an authorised agent to make a request for you.
We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of anyone under 16.
Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with privacy statutes
You have substantially the same rights — to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not carry out any of those three activities. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within 60 days. If we decline your appeal, you may complain to your state Attorney General.
Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom
If you are in the EEA or the UK, we process your information to perform our contract with you (your order), to meet legal obligations (tax records), and for our legitimate interests in running and securing the business. Where we rely on consent — marketing email and analytics cookies — you can withdraw it at any time. You have the rights described above and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
11. Children
This site is not for anyone under 18, and our products are supplied to professional and institutional researchers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to Privacy@RCSupply.com and we will delete it.
12. Where your information is held
We are based in the United States and our service providers are predominantly in the United States. If you use the site from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your country.
13. Links to other sites
Our site links to laboratory certificate records held by the testing laboratories we use, so that you can verify our results independently. Those are not our sites and this policy does not cover them. We do not send them your personal information — a certificate lookup identifies a test, not a customer.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
